ANGELS OF CHANGE PROGRAM
editOn June 20 and 21st of 2017, Angels of Change Program with Anthyesti Foundation, Kolkata Organized an organ donation volunteer training program. The session was conducted by Pallavi Kumar & Mareena Thomas trainers. Pallavi Kumar conducted a workshop for the topics: Organ Donation and Transplantation – concepts, types, myths, and Mareena Thomas have done a workshop for the topics: Organ Donation scenario in India – state wise initiatives, government bodies, and NGOs.

The session was organized through an initiative by

2. Dr. Nidhi Agrawal, Nephrologist- RN Tagore Hospital
3. Dr. Shankar Dasgupta, Head – Quality (CMRI & BMHRC) Medical Superintendent
4. Dr. Tanushree Mondal, Assistant Director of Medical Education
5. Dr. Syed S Siraj, Assistant Director of Health Services

The program was conducted different kinds of activities such as Stories of Hope (To help participants to understand the donor family perspective), Writing a thank you letter to a donor family (To help the participants to think from the perspective of an organ recipient), etc for volunteers, and volunteers also participated in every activity. About 20 volunteers attended this lovely conversational program conducted by Angels of Change Program with the Anthyesti Foundation.
